The Start of Flaticon

Started in 2013 Flaticon has been constantly growing, evolving and expanding on its database. As the world’s largest search engine of free icons, we have acquired users from multiple countries. Creators and brothers Alejandro and Pablo Blanes along with Joaquín Cuenca thought of the idea after the success of their first database Freepik. Freepik started in 2010 offering users high-quality graphic resources all in one place.

Through the development of Freepik the creators noticed there was a  high demand for different icons. Icons have increasingly been gaining importance and popularity in recent years. Their versatility means they are perfectly suited for a variety of personal and commercial projects.  This demand was the perfect opportunity to create a database where users can search and select icons.

Our goal is for it to be as easy as possible to find the icons you’re looking for. Whether you’re looking for business, parties, and weddings we have something for you. As well there was the desire for Flaticon to be compatible with design projects this is why you can download the icons in a range of formats such as SVG and PNG. We hope you enjoy using Flaticon.
